is a life member of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and has belonged to that organization since high school. His interest in quantum physics and cosmology dates back to his childhood.
Professor Franks studied astronomy at Northwestern University's Dearborn Observatory under Dr. Karl Henize––later astronaut Karl Henize.
M. R. Franks is presently a law professor. He formerly served as professeur associé de droit at l'Université de Cergy-Pontoise, Paris, France. A licensed airline transport pilot as well, Professor Franks holds his Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Memphis.
Astronomy and quantum physics have been his lifelong avocation.
The author is available for radio and other media interviews, book signings and speaking engagements.
